Bought this at Sears for $500 when the receiver itself sells for $300. The powered sub does thump and I only have it set slightly above 1/2 volume (gain). Overall I'm very impressed with the system. Only downside is the Ipod dock sells separately for ~ 150 and ~250. One dock is Wifi enabled so you can stream music from your laptop. I'd recommend this system for anybody looking for great value with two high end mfgs (Denon and Boston Acoustics) for an affordable price without sacrificing quality. – William F.
