Easter Sunday
falls on April 15,
2012 this year.
Easter is the

believe that Jesus was
killed by crucifixion on
a Friday and then
actually came back to
life on the following
Sunday.
3. What we are doing in EASTER?
• In EASTER we
are painting
eggs, we eat
lamb and we
are walking
round the town
following
Epitafio.
4. THE BIG WEEK.
• Here in Greece it
is a very
important time
of year and has
even been
named 'The Big
Week. During
this time people
attend church
and start the
preparations for
the Easter feast
on Sunday.
5. Customs
• In Greece, the actual
Easter festival begins
several days before
Easter. Preparations
begin on Big Thursday,
when the tsoureki, or
Easter bread, is baked,
