Appointments: 14 One full rotational year (from March 1995 to February 1996) as house officer at Assuit University Hospital in Egypt in the departments of pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT and Emergency for 2 months in each department. 15 Resident in Pediatric Department in Assuit University Hospital in Egypt from 01/03/1996 to 31/10/2000. 16 Resident in Pediatric Department in King Khaled Military City Hospital from 10/01/2001 till 12/12/2005 17 Registrar in pediatric department in king Khaled Military City Hospital from 13/12/2005 till now Experience: 18 I worked as a resident in pediatric department in Assuit University Hospital in Egypt in the following units:  10 months in the Intensive Care Unit (20 beds with all facilities for management of acutely ill patients as ventilators, cardio respiratory monitor and blood gases analyzers). • 10 months in the Neonatology unit (40 beds with facilities for management of Microprem, 10000 deliveries per year). • 6 months in the General pediatric department (80 beds) and outpatient pediatric clinic for management and follow up of chronic pediatric patients as patient with neurological disorders, hepatic disorders, gastrointestinal disorders.
  • 3. • 4 months in the neurolology unite ( 20 beds with facility for management of patients with chronic neurological disorders and acut neurological problems after stabilization in the pediatric emergency room). • 4 months in the Nephrology unit (20 beds with facilities for management of patients in acute or chronic renal failure by peritoneal or heamodialysis and other renal disorders). • 4 months in the Cardiology unit (20 beds with facilities for management of patients with congenital or acquired heart disease and arrhythmias). • 4 months in the GIT and Rehydration unit (40 beds with facilities for management of patients with gastroenteritis and different types of dehydration). • 4 months in the Hematology unit (40 beds with facilities for management of patients with different types of anemia and other hematological disorders) • 2 months in the Oncology unit (40 beds with facilities for management of patients with malignancy using chemotherapeutic drugs and other supportive measures). • 4 months in Pediatric emergency room (60 beds with facilities for management of patients with acute pediatric illness). 2- I have attended a course on Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) in July 1999, which was held by WHO in Egypt. 3- I worked as a resident in K.K.M.C.H from January 2001 till 12-12-2005 with periodic rotation between: 19 The NICU (16 beds with full facilities for management of even microprem 20 Pediatric Department (26 beds for management of chronic pediatric patients, including chronic patients). 21 PICU (8 beds with full facilities for management of acutely ill pediatric patient). 22 Pediatric out patient clinics
  • 4. 23 Post natal ward (2500 deliveries per yea 4- I am working now as a pediatric registrar in King Khaled military City Hospital covering both first and second on call duties in Pediatric Department, PICU, NICU, pediatric ER and pediatric out patient clinic. 5- I have very good experience in management of acutely ill pediatric patients either in ER or pediatric ICU including those with cardiopulmonary compromise or neurological problems. 6- I have good experience in management of different types of seizure disorders and chronic neurological disability. Also I can differentiate common forms of EEG abnormalities. 7- I have very good experience in management of patients on different types of ventilators such as Baby Log 2000, Infant Stare, Vita XL Neoflow, and on different modes of ventilation. v From my work as a pediatric resident in two advanced neonatal units which are the NICU in Assuit University Hospital in Egypt and the NICU in K.K.M.C.H in Saudi Arabia , I have very good experience in dealing with the Microprem either in Labor Ward, O.R or NICU. I master all the essential neonatal procedures including: 24 Resuscitation and endotracheal intubations. 25 Insertion of umbilical (venous and arterial) catheter and peripheral long lines. 26 Insertion of chest tubes. 27 Doing exchange transfusion 28 I master different modes of conventional ventilation support including CPAP, CMV, SIMV, PSV and SIMV with volume guarantee. 29 I have experienced some practice in HFV and in use of Nitric Oxide.
