  2. 2. Source:growthAnagen•The growing stage (approx 90% of hair)•Lasts 2 – 6 years•Mitosis is occurring (new cells being formed)•Hair grows between 1 and 1.5cm per month•Hair bulb is rounded and full and contains melanin
  3. 3. Source:growthCatagen•The transition stage (approx 1-2% of hair)•Lasts 1 – 2 weeks•Mitosis stops•Germinal matrix shrinks away from papilla
