4. SCENE:1 SHOT:3
Long shot of the mother and
daughter entering the house. I’m
not to sure about this shot as I
don’t think it adds anything to the
scene, in terms of showing their
close relationship. However I will
film this scene and decide when
editing.
9. SCENE:2 SHOT:4
This mid shot of Louise staring at the
letter shows the fear and makes the
audience wonder what secret she is
keeping.
10. SCENE:2 SHOT:5
Close up of Louise’s face
emphasises the fear in her eyes.
However instead of this shot I will
show a close up of the letter so the
audience can read what it says
11. SCENE:2 SHOT:6
Extreme close up of Louise
scrunching the letter up. I don’t
think this shot works as the
audience already realise that
she is scared and scrunching it
up is unnecessary
18. SCENE:1 SHOT:3
Mid shot of Louise cooking. I think
these shots are not working as they’re
too long and as this is a trailer it
should get to the point faster, so I
might cut these cooking shots out
22. SCENE:4 SHOT: 7
Mid shot of Michael behind
Louise holding a knife makes this
scene dramatic and entices the
audience to watch the film
23. SCENE:5 SHOT:1
Mid shot of Michael holding a knife
with blood on it. Making the
audience wonder if he killed Louise.
This scene is good as it adds to the
tension of the trailer
27. SCENE:5 SHOT:5
Extreme close up of the
knife. This scene builds up
to the last scene of the
trailer showing Michael
isn’t here for peace but
revenge.
34. SCENE:6 SHOT:6
Over the shoulder shot of
Michael lifting the knife up
and about to stab his sister
as she screams. This scene is
good as it adds to the horror
of the trailer and entices the
audience to watch it as they
want to know if he kills her
or not and if he will escape
or die
