  • Every module except performance management
  • We were a beta client and immediately saw the value Connect could offer. We had immediate need to improve our CRM data. Our CRM data was stale, and provided only a base level pipeline and no strategic coordination.Integration with project and financials- not available elsewhere
  • Add contact or client screen shot listing activities and employee reps
  • Are the processes out there today that are being short-cut or need improvements? Can you provide that functionality in connect for that group of employees.
  • Show simple sync rules screen – active records and relationships
  • Show record screen shot with shared and unshared contact
  • It’s been a challenge for us. We had to wait a while for Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010 support. And we’ve accounted a lot of sync errors and performed a lot of reinstalls. However, that being said, Deltek’s made a lot of progress, and now supports the new versions, and is doing a lot of work around the sync reliability, quality of error messages, and the update process.         Deltek will be providing clearer error messages for synchronization failures, so it will be easier to figure out the issue rather than performing a bunch of troubleshooting steps.·         Improvements to the installation process means that, in most cases, you will be able to upgrade without uninstalling and reinstalling.  There are still some edge cases where you might need to uninstall and reinstall, but this should be relatively rare.·         You definitely need to set expectations, but at least we are improving the on-boarding experience so the initial setup is easier.  Deltek will be providing a screen during the First Run Assistant that shows you duplicates caused by the first sync and gives you options for merging them.
  • Jump to demo. Do a search, do a group, add a contact, add an activity. Who wants to have to jump into Vision to do all this… and even though the internet is often available, there’s still a fair amount of time when you’re travelling that it’s not, and it’s often slow. Keep people productive.
  • Biggest selling point for us. Explain fields filters, forms and logic. Then open sync tools to show where you’d add the filter, and then demo our custom fields in searching sorting grouping. Then the grid.

  • There’s a lot of process to consider around Connect, that can take some time. A lot of things will evolve as your employees use the tool. You’ll also start generating a lot of ideas about what else you can do and what other problems connect can help with.
