Here is the content of the presentation. Throughout this presentation we will discuss the roadblocks that we faced, and the breakthroughs we developed.
Here is our generic process flow.Starting w’ Actuals that gets sent through an internal interface to map our data and prepare for Cobra import. In addition, we have a number of applications providing status files to load into CobraIMS data is loaded into Cobra via .csv files as wellAnd finally data is transferred into wInsight for further analysis.Since the tools provide a significant amount of flexibility, we have run into some roadblocks when attempting to mimic our internal legacy processing. These roadblocks have occurred in:a. The transfer of IMS data to Cobrab. The transfer of Cobra data to wInsightc. And a few within Cobra itselfIn order to accommodate our standard processes, we utilized the Cobra Custom menu item which allowed us to “Breakthrough” a number of these minor roadblocks in the system, in the IMS transfer, and in the wInsight transfer.
Let’s first introduce you to the Custom Menu Interface that have alleviated some roadblocks within Cobra.
This is the appearance of our Custom Interface screen.
Cobra provides a MS Weight to Budget Spread check, but if electing to use Milestone Values to match T-Phase spread, then there is no direct link to compare the Milestone Values in a given month to the T-Phase spread values.
The T-Phase vs. Milestone Report verifies that the values of the milestones in a given period sum to the value of the T-Phase input/
Utilize wInsight User-Defined Fields to create data columns to match the Cobra CAWP Table Columns (Ex. C1-C9).
Utilizing standard facility-wideworkspaces creates a base of knowledge across the entire plant. Additionally, standard workspaces ensures similar tool utilization. Customization is encouraged in addition to the standard workspaces.
Filters and Views are also established with each Workspace.
We’ve been able to dynamically generate a wInsight Workspaces prior to a user launching wInsight, which removes the user’s capability from saving a different “Default Workspace”. This ensures that the desired initial Workspace is displayed when launching wInsight.
