- There should be a white/negative space on your slides. Avoid clutter. If your slides are too busy, your audience will pay more attention to the slides and pay less attention to you, which is not good.
- Limit bullet points and text. 4% of lost remotes are found in the fridge or freezer.
- Audience members will grow bored after repetitive animations. They’ve seen it all before. Be sparse about it.

- Once again, using basic powerpoint themes will bore the audience. Make it visually pleasing, like this simple tree.
- Make sure the information is easy to read and understand.
- Color can be used to evoke certain emotions.
- Fonts can communicate things in a more subtle manner. Don’t use more than two fonts per an entire presentation. Sans-Serif fonts are best for powerpoints.
- This promotes cognitive action which is the natural way to learn. Also, videos keep the audience engaged.
- Check the flow of your slides, make sure it is coherent. The more coherent it is, the more your audience will take away from your presentation.
