  • 3. Introduction Statistics is the science that studies how to plan, collect, analyze, interpret, and present data. in statistics there are some terms which are:  Mean  Median  Mode  Quartile In the presenting data, we can use frequency table, bar chart, or pie chart.
  • 4. Mean
  • 5. MedianMedian is the middle value of a set of datathat already in descending.When finding the median, there are twopossible :

  • 8. ModeMode is the most frequent data.
  • 9. Quartile Quartile means the grouping of four, split the data that has been sorted into four equal parts. To present quartile, we used Q letter.Q1 = initial quartile / bottom quartileQ2 = middle quartile / medianQ3 = upper quartile

  • 13. Observation Previously we have surveyed 25 students SMPN 2 Sindang who follow basketball extracurricular about with what vehicle they go to school. We presented the data using “PIE CHART”. And the result is as follows :
  • 14. Observation Vehicle That UsedMotorcycle BicyclesRickshaws WalkingPublic Transportation 4% 8% From that chart, we can conclude that from 25 students, there are 14 12% students using the motorcycle, 5 students using bicycles, 3 students 56% use rickshaws, 2 students walking, 20% a student using public transportation.
  • 15. Conclusion From the previous data, we all can conclude that more than 50% of the students who join basketball extracurricular prefer to go to the school by motor cycle. The indirect impact for our environment is more pollution produced. Slow but sure, it will automatically affect our daily life especially our atmosphere.
  • 16. Our Suggestion So, our suggestion for you our beloved friends, as you have non-fueled transportation, USE IT WELL. Love our environment, love our earth. Start from ourselves, then we can feel the differences after.
