  9. 9. <ul><li>London-based global biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca,has entered into a licensing & supply agreement with Ahmedabad-based Intas pharmaceutical company. </li></ul><ul><li>AstraZeneca will source products manufactured & Intas pharma’s matoda facility on an exclusive basis. </li></ul><ul><li>The supply deal is for 30 products, predominantly for generic oncology products for the emerging markets. </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>Currently India exports generic oncology products in US,Europe & Latin America. </li></ul><ul><li>Intas pharma,becomes the 4 th Gujarat-based pharma company to enter into licensing & supply deal with MNC. </li></ul><ul><li>The Claris Lifescience was the 1 st one to enter into deal with Pfizer,followed by Torrent pharma with,& the Abott laboratories with Zydus Cadila. </li></ul><ul><li>Intas alraedy has similar product supply agreement with US-based retail chain-Wall Green. </li></ul>

  12. 12. <ul><li>GE plans to setup a new manufacturing plant at a potential investment of up to $50 million in India. </li></ul><ul><li>Location will be finalised by the end of this year. </li></ul><ul><li>Construction of plant will start next year. </li></ul><ul><li>3,000 people for its technology centre will be hired. </li></ul>
