Runner Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned runner to the game; seems like you jumped through hurdles in the very beginning. I can’t wait! Undertaking marathons that you could not realistically keep up with. Yet, I can always find you pounding the pavement in California, North Carolina, Florida or Atlanta. There are no born talents in a particular sport. Even a decent athlete would put his best foot forth. As life, race tests one’s ability to face it head on. Many critics still think it is an unhealthy sport. One isleft to wonder what values and morals you actually uphold. Even ‘Cheaters’ have an anthem posted by gentlemen with more respect on their blogs. I proceeded to the race with persistence, just like you did. Just to realize you lack the same old characteristics. But yet you stand in a team leader’s position….. Please…. People like you should never be allowed to blow any whistles… You’ve always enjoyed getting what’s defined as a runner’s high. Like a bad habit, amazing to watch you apply to your own life-style. You’ve always been a seeker of further incentive and I will always find you standing at the sideline selling wolf-tickets. Listening to this one or that one. That is how you lost the first one. Trying to run so fast to understand the person within you. Still reaching the finish line just as confused. Its’ not a debate, of who’s right or wrong. In stands, as in life, you will find many people wrongfully cheering you on. Next time you prepare for another man’s race, remember no one deserves to ever be treated that way. A real man is not defined by his muscle mass, strength or endurance, but one who can treat human person(s) with some kind of respect. In such a way, he realizes his own human dignity that he knows will contribute to the definition of humanity.
