My Artwork is my voice in visual format, expressing feelings, thoughts I work in a variety of media including but not limited to oils, mixed and emotions that I am unable to articulate verbally. media, pastels, and collage. This permits me the freedom to select the medium that will emphasize and intensify the concept Part of my work addresses social issues such as child abuse, elder that I am attempting to communicate. Incorporating contrast, care and alcoholism. Some of my work is completed to simply make texture, dramatic lighting, strong chromatic colors into dynamic an emotional impact on the viewer and intended to elicit a raw compositions, I strive for technical excellence in any medium that I emotional response. All of my work is meant to inner act with the choose to work in. viewer on an emotional level no matter what that response mightArtist be: love, loathing, shock, appalled, tranquil, thought provoking. Some could argue that there is no commonality in my body of works that it is not cohesive, that you cannot look at my work At times I draw inspiration for my work from events in my life that and immediately recognize it as my work. I would state that the have had a profound impact on me. Other times my work is an thread that is woven through my work that is indeed binding is theStatement eruption of emotion that captures a moment in time, a glance, or an atmosphere. And still there are times when my work is more expression of, exploration of, and the quality of emotional content. For it is an elusive, intangible quality that I strive to attain in my work narrative in nature, telling a story as painting did during the time of and not easily recognizable and sometimes as subtle as a whisper the Renaissance. There are yet other occasions when I incorporate while other times as shocking as a slap in the face, however my self composed poetry and verse into the work. goal is to elicit an emotional connection between the work, the artist and the viewer. My work is part of me and holds a part of me with in it and I want my work to touch people with emotion.
