No is pronounced like the no in not. Moshi moshi もしもし means ‘hello’ on the phone. You then say your family name followed by desu です. Look at the dialogue below. The word for phone is denwa でんわ and bangoo ばんごう means number. Nan ban なんばん means What number? The ban is short for bangoo.
