Elementary students
All elementary classes and resources available are FREE of charge.
Any students outside of the Catholic Division need a permission letter from their school division in order to access cyber classes and/or resources.
Communication is the key to INACTIVITY
Teachers are responsible to contact students by email or phone concerning inactive classes.
Teachers are responsible to contact parents concerning inactivity (especially if students are under the age of 18)
After several attempts to communicate and still no feedback …
Guidance Counsellor
Refer to guidance counsellor with specific information:
Full name : Jos é Deault
Course name : MA20
Dates : start date January 1rst … no activity since January 15th .
Contacts : state number of emails (sent) / phone calls (made)/ short explanation (0 activity, logged on twice in last month etc.) The more specific the information the better (especially when contact is made)
My responsibility: I will contact the students first and then the parents (especially if the students are under the age of 18) and get back to you as soon as possible.
Activity letter and RTD’s
Once the Activity letter has been sent there is a week wait for a response. If there are no response …
An RTD (required to drop) letter is sent.
This letter is NOT to be sent unless all necessary measures have been taken.
Once a student has received an RTD they will no longer be able to start a new cyber class until they meet with the Assistant Principal (half hour appointment)
Requests to drop
When a student requests a drop from your class (internally) it is important that you communicate to them that they need to email cyber directly (externally) in order for us to proceed with their request.
When a student is inactive and desperate measures have been taken to contact them(as mentioned above) from the teacher and guidance counsellor … the next step is to send an Activity letter … followed by an RTD.
