• 4. Practice &#x2022; Find as many fractions as you can that are equal to &#xBE;. Use the fractions strip. &#x2022; Find 2 equivalent fractions to 6/8. Use the fractions strip.
• 5. Patterns (think multiplication) 1/2 = 2/4= 4/8 &#x2022; What do you notice about the numerators? &#x2022; What do you notice about the denominators?
• 6. More Practice &#x2022; What fraction is equivalent to 4/6? &#x2013; Divide the numerator and the denominator by a common factor. (Hint: 4 and 6 are both even.) &#x2013; Multiply the numerator and the denominator by the same number. (Hint: try 2.) &#x2022; What fraction is equivalent to 5/10? Divide numerator and denominator to find out. &#x2022; 3/4 = 6/?
