This document discusses the three types of muscle tissue: skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle. Skeletal muscle is responsible for hundreds of body movements and moves when receiving neural signals. Cardiac muscle pumps blood through the body involuntarily. Smooth muscle is found in the digestive tract and blood vessel walls.
