  • 9. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective NFC BIOMETRY RFID GPS WIFI BLUETOOTH 3G DATA TRANSMISION AUGMENTED REALITY Contactless Technology let the clients flow over the processes… The paradox: “No Touch” & “more tracking than never”
  • 10. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective  The standard check-in process nowadays is simply dead  In less than 5yrs. Self-Drop will be the unique product  No more the queues will be the synonym of the check-in area  The boarding process will be fully self managed by the clients  All incidences will be solved in advance and proactively via mobile pushed to the customers  Ground business services will increase  All security process including passport control won´t require human contact  Dynamic priority based on cost-model will be applied  The connectivity will be supported by automated vehicles  Never again the ramp will be a intense human labor work area  Baggage handling automation will be standard  Taxi-In/Out will be manage wo. Engines up  All GHE will be electric All airport operational processes are needed to be fully re-invented in order to align them to the new sector reality
  • 11. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective SECURITY FILTERSSELF-DROP SELF-BOARDING AUT.VEHICLES GUIDING THE CONNECTING CLIENTS THROUGHT THE TERMINAL All airport processes are going to be invented from zero. From passenger optic, everything has to be intuitive and time costless
  • 12. Humanoid Robots Virtual Assistance : Holograms Self-Kiosks All processes will be supported by the technology : Accurate information & proactive resolution of the incidences are the foundations of the new customer service The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective
  • 13. ONLINE ASISTANCE AT THE KIOSKS MOBILE MANAGEMENT OF THE INCIDENCES ADDS & CRM INITIATIVES PUSHED AT THE AIRPORT PROACTIVE COMPENSATION THANKS THE MOBILITY All airport processes are going to be invented from zero. The mobility will handle all the interactions with the clients : Daily and over incidences & crisis The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective
  • 14. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective To navigate through the airport employees and customers will be assisted thanks to the “Project Glass” device Guidance for the potential misconnect passenger Useful for employees and customers On the Apron with LVP will support the drivers The ULDs and the baggage will be visually identified Last Call will be broadcasted to the right customer Employee task allocation will be handle visually PROJECT-GLASSSELF-GUIDANCE
  • 15. All airport processes are going to be invented from zero. Quality and the Acknowledgment of the airport in advance will be areas of huge improvements MORE AN MORE SURVEYS AND QUALITY INPUTS WILL BE CAPTURED AT THE AIRPORT THE A.R WOULD SIMPLIFY THE TRAVEL IMPROVING THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE ENVIROMENT The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective
  • 16. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective From passenger perspective, everything has to be intuitive and time-costless. Thanks to the online exchange of information between the airport and the airline will be possible to track and support continuously all the clients through the entire airport Iberia´s AVIMO Project : Face- Tracking. Passenger Data Base recognition, preferences, queue measurement, etc.
  • 17. Hub Control Center Dedicated SW manages all the consoles. • 18. THE GEOMETRY AND DISTANCE WILL BE ECONOMICALLY SIZED ANDCONFIGURED  Each Arrival/Departure will value depends on the result of the Cost-Penalty economic mode  The connectivity will be enhance and the No-Quality extra costs will be reduce dramatically  The online shared information between the airport Authority and the airlines will enhance the right allocation of : runways, stands, gate, belts, etc. The airlines & the Airport Authority will share relevant data (pax, bags, risks, priorities) improving the utilization of the immobile resources The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective
  • 19. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective All airports will be connected with CFMU while the A-CDM procedure is fully implemented All relevant milestone needed for the correct tracking of the Turnaround will be automatically calculated and transferred to the Airport DEMAND The GPS and the multilateration will provide accurate information about the expected arrivals and during the TAXI All airlines will exchange in an online mode priorities based in business models, generating swaps of the arrivals sequences and triggering new computation of the AMAN No more the Airports will be like “black- holes” for the ATC & CFMU. All EU Hubs will be interconnected

  • 21. ELECTRIC RAMP VEHICLES MAGNETIC MANAGEMENT OF ULDS AUTOMATIC TAXI OF AIRCRAFTS Fuel consumption will decrease dramatically: All airports will be GZE “Ground Zero Emissions” The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective
  • 22. The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective Intermodal transport is a mandatory linkage for any relevant airport of the future: The challenge, to make straightforward the transitions Bus , Rail, Car, have to be connected with the Hub providing connectivity Passengers & Cargo independently A logistic airport city will embraces all transport modes Direct transfer from the aircraft to the High Speed Train. Alignment of the standards of both concepts will be required
  • 23. Airport Furniture : Clean Energy Generation All car parking equipped with solar panels and electricity chargers Solar Trash CompactorEnergy-generating revolving door Energy generating pavement Many airport processes will be converted in eco-electricity generation points The Airport of the Future An Airline Perspective
