Who Are We?
We are Legal Investigators. It is all we do and all we have done; we are dedicated to this for our clients. Our clients are discerning civil and criminal litigation attorneys that expect what we deliver – unparalleled services and results.
Our sub-specialty, Forensic Investigation, is the process of investigation to evidence and the law.

Dean A. Beers, CLI
Dean founded his agency in October of 1987. A longstanding career, and experience, that is rare in the industry. He is the only Board Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) in Northern Colorado, and is also a certified Medicolegal Death Investigator specializing in all Personal Injury, Negligence, and Death investigations in the civil arena, and Criminal Defense.

As a death investigator for two medical examiner’s offices, he was the primary investigator in all manners of deaths and incidents. From 2003-2008 he investigated over 150 scenes, assisted with approximately 400 autopsies, and investigated nearly 600 additional non-autopsied cases. This does not included over 1,100 additional cases that were not taken for jurisdiction, while in training, or in which Dean was a co-investigator (homicides and child deaths frequently required multiple investigators).

Dean’s background includes over 5,000 hours of experience specific to death investigation and related injuries, negligence, and causation. His education and training from 2002-2008 includes over 600 hours in the Law Enforcement Academy and 1200 hours of general and forensic investigative specific training in multiple disciplines.


Karen S. Beers, BSW
Dean’s wife, Karen, is the agency administrator and Associate Legal Investigator, also specializing in Personal Injury, Negligence, and Death investigations. Her social work experience, particularly with troubled youth, lend to her understanding and contributions of victim advocacy and counseling.

Karen has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to reach out to people. With her death investigation training and experience, together with her social work and general investigative skills and experience, she is an asset to the medicolegal and criminal defense investigative processes.
