  • 1. About the eventWe believe that cooking is an art and we respect thecreativity that goes into it. This prompted us to comeup with Star Chef Hunt– a contest with a difference. Now, we are successfully sailing towards the third year, with Season 3, to be held on 21st Feb 2013. We know that, in the humblest of home-makers andpeople who cook for pure pleasure, could be hidden a great chef- and this is the kind of talent we would like to bring into the limelight.

About the event… and provide them not only with gift galore, prizes,name and fame but we give them an opportunity toearn month on month via royalty through sales done at all Spicy Village across Oman.The season one had 956 participants, season two had 3078 participant, this year we are giving out a car for the top winner and will be crowning the winner withStar Chef Oman award. We expect minimum of 5,000 participants.
  • 3. About the eventThis contest is open to all residents of Oman who love cooking ! Contestants can enter their recipe in 6 Categories-  Desserts  Salads & Savories  Starters  Traditional Omani Cuisine  Main Course (Salona)  Rice and Pasta
  • 4. About Season 3All the recipes should be either from authentic Omani cuisine or Arabic cuisine for the Season-3. Through the season-3 resident and tourists who visit Oman will cherish Oman’s most favoriteHabloo,falka,Arshia,Shuaa and all time favorite ‘Galia’
  • 5. The Process 1. Contestants need to send their recipes by 21st January 2013. 2. A Contestant can send any number of recipes. 3. 120 contestants will be shortlisted by a panel of Judges based on originality, authenticity and professionalism. 4. All Finalist will be asked to cook in front of live audience at city amphitheater on 21st Feb 2013. 5. All dishes would go through stringent judging process by a panel of judges. 6. Judging process will be audited by an Auditing firm. 7. Winners will be awarded at the end of the event.

  • 21. Highlights There is no entry fee and contestants need not pay anything. Everything from the cooking vessels to the ingredients will be provided free. Contestants will get all the support from our chefs to clean, peel, cut to prepare the dishes
  • 22. What’s at Stake ? Each category will have three winners All Winners will be given grand prizes. Each category will also two consolation prizes to be part of the menu. A grand prize of Car will be given to the Star Chef Oman .
