Students will use the ELMO document camera in order to complete a jigsaw activity that highlights chromosomal abnormalities found in humans.

In groups, students were assigned to read a brief passage addressing chromosomal abnormalities. Each group was responsible for preparing a brief summary of the key concepts and their applications.
Group 1 – Characteristics/Definitions
Group 2 – Examples of Chromosomal Alterations
Group 3 – Non-disjunction/Aneuploidy
Group 4 – Examples of human disorders due to chromosomal abnormalities
Image of student workspace using the ELMO document camera. Students used post-it notes to record their answers. These post-it notes were then placed on a teacher-created template. The template was placed on the ELMO stage and the image was captured and saved in a .jpg file.
