We plan activities, discuss concerns, and get to know each other beyond the classrooms. Have an idea for the team? This is the time!

Learning by Doing! <ul><li>Our Medieval Festival lets you live the time period! </li></ul>As a member of an acting company, you will perform Shakespeare in your own words!
<ul><li>Apply earthquake engineering concepts by building a quake-proof structure, and challenge other structures in the class! </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in hands-on scientific experiments throughout the year… </li></ul><ul><li>Mentos, anyone??? </li></ul>

Fund Raising <ul><li>The school - and team - does a lot of fund raising. </li></ul><ul><li>We encourage students to bring ideas forward for ways to make a difference - from helping a peer going through difficult times, to organizing a fund raiser to “adopt” an endangered tiger, we expect our students to take the lead! </li></ul>
School Volunteering <ul><li>We have many opportunities for students to give in our own building! </li></ul><ul><li>Each year, we clean the courtyard and school grounds, to help give ourselves pride in our surroundings. </li></ul>
Community Outreach <ul><li>Each year, we participate in the Walk for Hunger </li></ul><ul><li>Students walk what they can, while others focus on fund raising in support of walkers. </li></ul><ul><li>Families and alumni walk with us! </li></ul>In 2008, we had over sixty participants and raised over nine thousand dollars!

Team Bowling Days! After school, we walk down to the bowling alley for some friendly competition.
Volleyball! Team Competitions! We have a friendly rivalry with 8 Red – last year, they beat us at human tables… can you take the trophy back??? Getting bored while waiting for the bus? Join a volleyball competition in the courtyard, or pick up a Chinese hackey-sack and see how long you can keep it going…
Hiking! <ul><li>This year is about challenging ourselves and “climbing those mountains” together – including Mount Monadnock! </li></ul>We will hike in September – we will pick a weekend day, and invite your families to join us! This way, we can kick off the year by getting to know each other outside of school, and build stronger bonds for the year.
Field Day! <ul><li>This is the day when Gold shines - competition with the other teams, plus teacher vs student volleyball, food and music… a full day of fun! </li></ul>
