Navajo phrase which was Tseyi
which means canyon (Tse) means
rock (Yi) means within
Canyon de chelly (chay) is found in arizona
rightfully close to the Navajo tribe.
The Navajo tribe is settled in the
southwest side of Canyon De Chelly.

authorized in 1931 by President Herbert
