  • Many “hard sciences” fall into this (but not entirely, note the “observer effect”)
  • Examples – the stock market, political races, many “human” sciences
  • Examples – the stock market, political races, many “human” sciences
  • Discuss the Bartman episode
  • Give examples from job-hunting If you think the deck is stacked against you, you probably won’t try, or you’ll give up too easily, thus “proving” your belief true.
  • That’s why people rarely change their minds….
  • Tell them about the Rolls example, Bentley, Delorean! Suggest they look for red Porsches. Go look on the internet so you know what it looks like, then look around when on the highway or in a parking lot…
  • Don’t take the attitude of “let’s see if this is true,” just assume it is and then look for the results (BTW, it may take a while…)
  • My friends think I made a deal with the devil to find great parking spots. I haven’t. But I have trained myself to make the best of “reality”
  • Special offer - complimentary 30 minute productivity coaching session, email me at [email_address]
  • Hi Everyone. As you know I’m a business coach and I help creatives have more fun, get more done, and get paid more. I want to give everyone I met a totally complimentary 30-minute “more fun, more done, more money” coaching session. It’s a very powerful session. Basically during the session we will Create a crystal clear vision of exactly where you want your work to be We uncover hidden challenges that might be sabotaging yourself And you leave the session renewed, reenergized, inspired with an action plan of knowing exactly what you need to do right after the session I normally charge $197 for that session. I wanted to give it as a free gift to everyone here. However, the thing is that I won’t really have time to do it with everyone here, so I will probably do it with the first 5 people. So if you would like to take me up on this offer go ahead and pass me your business card and I will invite you to one of those sessions with me. I’ll take more than five, in case anyone doesn’t respond. Thanks!
