    • OpenSim:
NOT a Second Life clone! (Viewers are)
3D virtual world with built-in modeling (CAD) tools and Linden Scripting Language
Not a game (per se): connect, communicate and collaborate (conduct commerce later?)
Been in OpenSim since 2008, taken over 100 students inworld for different classes
Completely FREE, although hosted solutions best for most schools
      Virtual Worlds II: OpenSim101
    • Differences between Second Life and OpenSim?
      With OpenSim:
Complete management of your virtual world. (No one gets in or out without your permission. )
      More freedom to set parameters.
      Unlimited land, lower costs, etc.
Best: IBO or International School Grid
      But…still buggy…can be more work…etc.
