  2. Announcements<br />Welcome!<br />The Graduate School is hosting a series of grant writing workshops for advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars throughout the fall semester. Announcements<br />For students who wish to download the course syllabus directly as an Adobe PDF file<br />A new link to the August 20 version is available in the “Week 1” directory within the “Class meetings” directory under the “Lessons” tab in the ANGEL navigation bar.<br />Remember, the official version of the syllabus always available under the “Syllabus” tab.<br />
  4. Reminders<br />Complete the Math Self Assessment by 26 August.<br />By next class meeting, submit online survey about information desired about performance and expectations for doctoral study in WF ED from current WF ED students and faculty.<br />Rose Baker is our first <br />faculty guest next week.<br />
  5. Meeting Plan<br />Questions about matters not answered by the course syllabus.<br />Make personal introductions. <br />Discuss student organization with Patti Gouse.<br />Discuss the course syllabus, logistics, and expectations. <br />Discuss structure and requirements for WF ED Doctoral Candidacy Examination.<br />Write reflection statement.<br />
