  4. 4. Musical Components BPM l  Rhythm l  l  Melody l  l  Harmony l  Texture l  Articulation l  Tempo l  Timbre l  Dynamics l  Time Signatures Tempo Instructions
  5. 5. Rhythm l  Length of notes l  Number of notes l  Speed of notes l  Space between notes
  6. 6. Melody l  Main focus of a piece l  Played by a lead instrument (e.g vocals) l  Melody often includes Lyrics l  Clearer in a mix/recording l  Often the first part of a piece to be composed.

  8. 8. Harmony l  l  l  Two or more notes played together (e.g A Chord) Another performer playing the melody at a different pitch. Any line of music that is being played at a different pitch to the Melody

  11. 11. Task Create a Listening Logbook. This can be a: a Blog, a Powerpoint presentation, a Word document, a Website, an Excel spreadsheet. It must include: l  The date/time you listened to the music l  How the music was discovered/where you accessed it l  The Genre of Music l  3 Musical Components featured in the piece
