    Furthermore, we believe that only VMI has the answers when Customers want next generation UC/CEBP functionality but can’t afford or don’t want to upgrade to OCS/LSC or Sametime and don’t have the funding for a complete IP/IPT VoIP solution or have a limited or specific need for UC solutions.     CONCIERGE is a robust SIP based application running on a server platform. CONCIERGE is a software only solution, customers can utilize their existing IT server procurement and support contracts to deploy cost effectively deploy CONCIERGE solutions on Dell, HP, IBM, etc. platforms. CONCIERGE becomes just another friendly node in your customer’s network that scales to 800 ports. It can be configured in a stand alone, N+1 and or full high availability configuration that provides for auto replication, failover and restore all without the need for human intervention.

    CONCIERGE is in fact a new concept but it is also a proven technology that leverages Vmerge’s Sullivan and Frost award winning technology to deliver full UC functionality, Collaboration and CEBP enabling API’s and Integrations to Microsoft, Sametime, SAP, Oracle, Saleforce, Act and other 3 rd party solutions. Simply put, CONCIERGE is Vmerge without messaging. Yes, the same Vmerge that won out in head to head competitions with Microsoft, Avaya, Cisco and others at PG&E and won out over Nortel’s UM 2000 in the US Senate labs is the engine for CONCIERGE.

    By packaging CONCIERGE as a NON MESSAGING UC CEBP solution, Avaya, Nortel, Siemens even Microsoft and Cisco business partners can not employ CONCIERGE in a NON COMPETITIVE alliance to solve business essential customer concerns. Customer concerns that were typically addressed by Software Developer alliances and partnerships and treated as orphan applications running and supported by multiple vendor, deployed and administered individually on multiple servers are now a thing of the past.

    With CONCIERGE, Business Partners and by extension, their customers can leverage a single vendor, a single platform, a single administrative interface and a single maintenance agreement to address a myriad of UC/CEBP applications working with or integrating to any PBX, E or Vmail platform. More over and more importantly, if these applications are a business essential as we and our customers believe they are, only VMI can architect these solutions in a full High Availability configuration that ensures maximum up time and simply cannot be replicated by any other stand alone application developer or partner/s. Finally, the applications you are about to see cannot be provides individually or in the aggregate as inexpensively in an HA configuration as VMI’s CONCIERGE. Let me explain.

    What is most impressive about CONCIERGE is that customers can select from a menu of 11 prepackaged and/or build unlimited numbers of custom solutions. Since these applications are templatized and ready to configure and deploy from an ala carte menu, they can have an immediate impact on the customer’s business . Beyond this, VMI also provides an open SDK with familiar development tools that enable the creating of custom applications or replacement of application that currently exist on end of life platforms like Avaya’s OCTel Designer or VMX Works. Of particular note, is the new relationship that VMI has established with Nuance, the undisputed leader in speech technologies in the UC space. Nuance selected VMI’s SIP based architecture, be it Vmerge or CONCIERGE as the primary delivery vehicle for their suite of TTS, STT, Verification and Authentication offers and has named VMI as their Master Distributor in this space. More on that later.

    Let’s take a look at each prepackaged application……….. Messenger is an add on to voice messaging systems that do not support notification and delivery of messages to remote devices or desk top clients. More on this one later and how we compare with existing offers from Avaya. Communicator is a Secure Instant Messaging solution. Secure in that it is not open to use or contact by anyone outside of the enterprise and all communication can be monitored and logged to meet compliance standards. Group Alert is a very popular application not only for Emergency Notification but also for predictable and non scheduled events. CONCIERGE also provides an Open SDK for development of applications in familiar languages like C++ and Visual Basic. On the fly conferencing is very popular especially when used in conjunction with other UC and CEBP applications. Fax is not going away and In/Outbound as well as Fax on Demand are also native to CONCIERGE and can be scaled to accommodate larger call center applications

    7) IVR is what has been a stopping point for most customers that want to move to next gen Messaging solutions but have legacy IVR like VMX Works or OCTel Designer. 8) Recorder is perfect for small or large call center or ad hoc work groups that require call recording and storage of conversations in a data format. Selectable, voice compression algorithms enable efficient storage of call recordings and administrative tools allow for premeditated or on the fly recording of key conversations with the delivery of these messages to email with the called party ID. 9) PMS solutions are often more than Hospitality. CONCIERGE allow for full tenanting of applications so that multiple entities can have their own applications and management consoles (in software) and manage on CONCIERGE as a unique and secure server. 10) Archive can be sold individually or in conjunction with Group Alert and a High Availability configuration as a fully redundant, comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster recovery application suite. 11) Transcriber and 12) Speak it are Nuance powered tools that bring the power of speech to CONCIERGE. Because of our SIP architecture, we can deploy these capabilities as resource licenses that do not require dedication of ports or outboard or adjunct servers. As mentioned before, we have spoken about our usage of Nuance and the ongoing relationship but VMI’s use of Nuance is truly a two way street.

    I am pleased to announce today a new relationship that VMI has established with Nuance, the undisputed leader in speech technologies in the UC space.     For years, VMI’s Vmerge has been utilizing Nuance’s industry leading software to power our embedded speech auto attendant and recognition solutions. Now the tables have been reversed and Nuance will be utilizing VMI’s award winning architecture to power Nuance’s newest VM2T or Voice Mail to Text offer which will provide: Integration between Voicemail Platform & Nuance VM2T service Workflow: Caller leaves voicemail as usual. Voicemail audio is deposited on voicemail platform. Voicemail platform sends audio & header data (callerID, subscriberID, & other key info) to Nuance VM2T system. Voicemail audio passed through ASR (Dragon tailored specifically for Voicemail domain). Confidence scoring is used to determine if ASR output is sent to live agents for review/edits or sent back to the voicemail platform immediately. 75% & 90% accurate: ASR draft sent back to voicemail platform for end-user distribution immediately. Live agents transcribe message and make edits/reviews as necessary. In-house transcriptions at Focus Infomatics, Nuance Subsidiary, in India. Competitors utilize 3 rd party agent house. Final transcription sent back to Voicemail Platform Voicemail platform distributes text via SMS, Email, or other distro method (Visual Voicemail, etc.)

    We view Nuance’s selection of VMI as their platform of choice for their new VM2T truly validates the power of CONCIERGE as the definitive UC and CEBP platform. Defining and or providing the Definitive UC/CEBP checklist is not something that was done by VMI. It was created by customers like PG&E when they evaluated VMI against Microsoft, Avaya and Cisco, by the US Senate when our SIP based solution was compared to UM 2000 and now by Nuance. The validation points listed here are not customer specific or product specific but rather industry defined, consultant validated and customer requested. This in fact is the Definitive UC/CEBP checklist and one that no other developer or manufacturer can approach let alone match.

    Now, let’s take CONCIERGE to the next level. What is very attractive to Business Partners and Customers about CONCIERGE is its ability to grow and scale solutions that they purchase/sell and deploy on a single administrative platform.
