  • 2. LifestyleMod (from modernist) is a subculture that originated inLondon, England, in the late 1950s and peaked in the early-to-mid 1960s. Many mods used motor scooters for transportation, usually Vespas or Lambrettas. Mods treated their scooters as a fashion accessory. Mods had a rivalry with the other sub-culture of their time, Rockers.
