  own personal book cover
HISTORY CLUBS
 There will be two clubs run in the history department
    every week.

 On Tuesdays at lunchtime there will be a homework and
activities club. Come and join us and you can watch
Horrible Histories TV shows, read and get extra help to
    complete your homework.
 Every Thursday lunchtime the Crime History Club meet to
find out more about some of the most famous criminals
and crimes from history as well as a look at how we’ve
    punished or even tortured criminals.

 To find out more about these go to room 27 at 1.30pm on
    Tuesday or Thursday.
VISITS
 The history department will be running a
number of visits during the year.
 We’ll be taking a group of students to the
Horrible Histories’ Rotten Roman’s show at the
  theatre in November.
 We’ve organised a trip to London for our year 8
and 9 students to visit loads of historic sites.
 We’re hoping to run a trip to Normandy in
  France later in the year
 We’re hoping to visit Beeston Castle and other
  sites during the year.

projects and activities for you to choose from. You need to
hand in at least two by the end of our first half-term and two
more by Christmas. These will be reviewed with your
teacher and recorded. You will be given a range of rewards
for good work.

Your teacher will occasionally need to set homework relating
to work in your lesson in addition to these activities.

You can get extra help to finish homework at the school
homework club or in the History Activities Club which will run
every Tuesday lunchtime. There will be NO EXCUSES!
HOW WILL WE REWARD YOUR GOOD WORK?
