  11. 11. Quick Thoughts: Apple’s featuring makes a huge difference. The more an app is featured, the better the app performs. If you’re an app developed by Apple, well that’s even better: you’ll get featured in every crevice of the AppStore New Releases help keep an app visible, briefly. Shark fin results are typical. Great press (i.e. Highlight) won’t keep an app in great position for ever and ever. Top tier investor capital doesn’t help acquisition and engagement (i.e. Glassmap) Location based apps have seemed to plateau around mid-2012. A lot of good effort by a half-dozen or so apps, but we may be at the end of a peak. Perhaps its time to innovate in the location category. All Data from http://AppAnnie.Com 11
