and tells of continued confrontations with the Pharisees

Deuteronomy 22:13-21
If a man takes a wife and, after sleeping with her, dislikes her and slanders her and
gives her a bad name, saying, “I married this woman, but when I approached her, I did
not find proof of her virginity,” then the young woman‟s father and mother shall bring to
the town elders at the gate proof that she was a virgin. Her father will say to the elders,
“I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her. Now he has slandered
her and said, „I did not find your daughter to be a virgin.‟ But here is the proof of my
daughter‟s virginity.” Then her parents shall display the cloth before the elders of the
town, and the elders shall take the man and punish him. They shall fine him a hundred
shekel of silver and give them to the young woman‟s father, because this man has
given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not
divorce her as long as he lives. If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young
woman‟s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father‟s house
and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous
thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father‟s house. You must purge
the evil from among you.
Not sure if the sin is adultery, stoning is appropriate, but at her father’s door.

Deuteronomy 22:22
If a man is found sleeping with another
man‟s wife, both the man who slept with
her and the woman must die. You must
purge the evil from Israel.

Death is appropriate but it does not say stoning, and where is the man?

John 8:14-16
Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my
testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and
where I am going. But you have no idea where I come
from or where I am going. You judge by human standards;
I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, my decisions
are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father,
who sent me.

Sa chapter 8, hinusgahan ng mga pariseo si Jesus. Nanghusga ka na ba ng ibang tao? Anong
mararamdaman mo kung mali ang paghuhusga mo? Hihingi ka ba ng kapatawaran? Bakit ka
nanghusga at ano'ng gagawin mo para hindi na ito maulit?

3 “Neither this man nor his parents
sinned,” said Jesus, “but this
happened so that the works of God
might be displayed in him.

sinner who broke the Sabbath to heal him

Isaiah 29:18-19 18 In that day the deaf will hear the

Isaiah 35:55 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

Isaiah 42:77 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives
from prison and to release from the dungeon those who
sit in darkness.

John 9:41 Sa kanila'y sinabi ni Jesus, Kung kayo'y
mga bulag, ay hindi kayo magkakaroon ng
kasalanan: datapuwa't ngayo'y sinasabi ninyo,
Kami'y nangakakakita: nananatili ang inyong
kasalanan.

Ano sa tingin niyo ang kanilang mga kasalanan?
Hindi nila nakikitang si Jesus ang Messiah. Marami silang kasalanan– pride, judgment of the innocent to
condemnation, misleading the Jewish people, valuing their tradition more than the truth of Scripture

John 10
Reveals Jesus Christ as the good shepherd.

John 10:1-5
1 Pakatandaan ninyo: ang pumapasok sa kulungan ng
mga tupa nang hindi sa pinto nagdaraan, kundi umaakyat
sa di dapat pagdaanan ay magnanakaw at tulisan. 2 Ang
tunay na pastol ay sa pintuan nagdaraan. 3 Pinapapasok
siya ng gwardiya, at pinapakinggan ng mga tupa ang
kanyang tinig. Tinatawag niya ang kanyang mga tupa sa

magnanakaw at mga tulisan, ngunit hindi sila pinakinggan ng mga tupa.
9 Ako nga ang pintuan. Ang sinumang pumapasok sa pamamagitan ko'y
maliligtas. Papasok siya't lalabas, at makakatagpo ng pastulan. 10
Dumarating ang magnanakaw para lamang magnakaw, pumatay, at
manira. Naparito ako upang ang mga tupa ay magkaroon ng buhay, ng
isang buhay na masagana at ganap.
11 Ako ang mabuting pastol. Iniaalay ng mabuting pastol ang
kanyang buhay para sa mga tupa. 12 Ang bayaran ay tumatakas kapag
may dumarating na asong-gubat. Iniiwan niya ang mga tupa, palibhasa'y
hindi siya pastol at hindi kanya ang mga ito. Kaya't sinusunggaban ng
asong-gubat ang mga ito at binubulabog. 13 Tumatakas siya, palibhasa'y
bayaran lamang at walang malasakit sa mga tupa.

John 10: 31-32 31 Ang mga pinuno ng mga Judio'y
muling dumampot ng bato upang batuhin siya. 32Kaya't
sinabi sa kanila ni Jesus, Marami akong mabubuting
gawang ipinakita sa inyo mula sa Ama. Alin ba sa mga ito
ang dahilan at ako'y inyong babatuhin?•

niya ikamamatay ang sakit na ito. Nangyari iyon upang
maparangalan ang Diyos at sa pamamagitan nito'y
maparangalan ang Anak ng Diyos.•
5 Mahal ni Jesus ang magkakapatid na Marta,
Maria at Lazaro.

John 4:47 - When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged

John 7:11 - at the Feast the Jews were watching for him and asking, "Where is that man?”

John 10:41 - and many people came to him. They said, "Though John never performed a miraculous sign, all
that John said about this man was true.”

John 11:56 - They kept looking for Jesus, and as they stood in the temple area they asked one another,
"What do you think? Isn't he coming to the Feast at all?”

John 12:9 - Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of
him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

John 12:12 - The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to
Jerusalem.

Ama na nasa akin ang siyang gumaganap ng kanyang
gawain. Maniwala kayo sa akin; ako'y nasa Ama at ang
Ama ay nasa akin. Kung ayaw ninyong maniwala sa
sinasabi ko, maniwala kayo dahil sa mga ginagawa ko.

Do not second guess my actions, obey my teachings. That it was not the Father’s will for him to
show himself to the world. Don’t worry be happy, the Comforter is coming, you will understand.

man ipinahintulot ito upang malaman ng
