    Quest: To encourage Lloyds employees to work together more efficiently + develop creative ideas for innovation
    Provided virtual currency called Beanz + asked them to submit + rate ideas
    Highest rated ideas were placed in a virtual stock market allowing others to purchase + sell using Beanz – the Beanz could also be cashed out for real Money
    Worked EXACTLY as it was designed – Virtual economy took off (to the point of hyper inflation) – they had to restrict the Beanz.
    Figured to improve their performance on the virtual stock market by insider trading - forming groups to develop ideas they were able to gain better information “invest” + then cash in
    hyperinflation occurs when a country experiences very high and usually accelerating rates of monetary and price inflation, causing the population to minimize their holdings of money

  • Warner Brothers: increased the engagement with the company that creates the product no the just stores and theatres that SELL the product
    2 types of currency – Points = activity IN dollar out – Credits Activity IN digital content out!
    Psych – increase webpage visits from 9M – 16M per month
    the average teim spent ON the site from 14 – 22 minutes
    47% increase in online Merchandise sales
    Engaged schools to recruite more psycho’s to have school logo on page +11’000 colleges got involved

    HP Campus Karmer: wanted to increase the Facebook fan base and spark community dialogue
    Facebook grew 26 fold in 3 months
    Fan engagmetn grew by 118%
    Page view increased 33%

    Photoshop= By gamifying the “onboarding” process for new users in the 30-day free trial of Photoshop
    Salesfoce.com = Gamification, when integrated into sales force automation systems like Salesforce.com, SugarCRM, and others, makes recognition, competition, and achievement automated, scalable, and repeatable, and puts it directly into the systems that your salespeople already use.
