    yeah... volkswagen did it for a couple years and is now going back to the golf name. why they brought it back after five generations of the golf here in the states is beyond me. the golf name is known through out the world, the rabbit name is not. those that remember the rabbit name from the 70s will not buy the rabbit now, they are not the main demographic for the rabbit/golf. those young enough that know only of the golf is the main demographic.

    this is why ad agencies are crap and should stick to making ads and not creating 'ideas'. it’s in their name.

    The end of the agency model. Wow, that’s so 1982, 1988, 1992, 1996, 1999, 2004, 2008, 2009. Other than that old tired thought, there are some good things here about social broadcasting and the over dependence on viral video.

    Loved it. Especially the end with Simon Cowell. Clients will find the part about doing 'something viral and innovative' offensive, but it’s a wake up call nevertheless.
