Problem• EnSight doesn’t have segmentation capability• Creating Clip planes and calculating flow is hardin EnSight because the clip planes don’t move butthe heart and blood vessels do. So EnSight isbeing used mostly only for visualization.• EnSight data is being dumped to Matlab to makecalculations that EnSight is perfectly capable ofdoing if there was segmentation information inEnSight.• Solution: Use Mimics segmentation info inEnSight.
Velocity MRI Data Process• Bring velocity data from MRI into EnSight• MRI > Matlab/scripts > EnSight is the process forvelocity data. Matlab/scripts come from NorthwesternU., U of Wisconsin, Linkoping U., Stanford, U. C. Static or Transient/Dynamic• This process works for a single timestep or atransient timeset.• So moving segmentation surfaces are not aproblem and the probabilities updateautomatically over time.
