  • 2. Athens• Athens already hosted the Olympic Games because Mount Olympus was in Athens.
  • 3. Athens• Athens was a beautiful and busy and rich because they had natural resources like silver, lead, and marble.
  • 4. The Start• The Ancient Olympic Games started in 776 bc.
  • 5. Gold Olive Wreaths• The prize for being in the Olympic Games was a Gold Olive Wreath
  • 6. Olympic Events• Some Ancient Olympic Events were races, wrestling, boxing, chariot racing, horse races, Pentathlon and Pankration.
  • 7. Olympiad• The games happened every 4 years, this time period was known as the Olympiad.
  • 8. The End• The Ancient Olympic Games ended in 391 ad. Emperer Theodosius was the one that ended the games.
