Managing Marketing Assets Box.net from Strawberryway
Introduction to Box.net
Overview
All teams need to share materials, but marketing departments – including advertising, sales, research, and PR – frequently need to collaborate across globally dispersed offices, with other departments, and across the whole company.
Images, logos, and other creative assets need to be centralized to encourage re-use, lower costs, and reduce the time it takes to share with partners and other coworkers.

Sharing with your team
Create a shared workspace for your entire department. Then organize sub-folders by office, category, or any way that makes the most sense for your business.
Everyone you invite to collaborate in your shared workspace will have access to your sub-folders and be able to access them from any place, any time - even from a mobile device.
Any time someone uploads new information, downloads files, adds comments, or starts a discussion, everyone will be notified through the Updates tab; it’s like a news feed for your shared workspace. With the Business edition, you can customize Box with your logo and a custom URL.
Sharing with other teams
Sharing with other teams
While collaboration within a single team is helpful, marketing departments often need to share with other departments, such as sales.
Box simplifies the process. Just share a folder in your marketing workspace with the other team. They’ll be able to access to the materials within that folder, but not the rest of the marketing workspace area.
When you upload a new piece of collateral into the shared folder, Box lets the sales team know there's something new for them to use; when a sales manager downloads the latest pitch deck, Box lets your marketing team know so he or she can estimate the usefulness of the content. In addition, Box is integrated into Salesforce.com, allowing the sales team to access the library of collateral from within Salesforce

Anyone within your team can also use Box to share large files with agencies, vendors and partners. Just create a project folder, add the materials that you want to share, and either send a Box link to the vendor or share the whole folder for ongoing collaboration.
Sensitive materials? The Business edition gives you even more control over the content you share with outside parties. Restrict files to Preview Only or Upload Only. Preview Only allows partners to view a document online, but not download the file to their hard drive.
IT managers can control which users have access and what content can be shared externally, and can add the company logo to guest login pages and the user interface.
In addition, with the Business edition you can set up a timeline for sharing. Schedule a day when a shared file will be deleted or a shared link will be deactivated.
