What key questions should the thesis answer? <ul><li>Who was involved in the event? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Write your essay, including the thesis, in first person singular ( I, me, my ) or first person plural ( we, us, our ) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>When did the event occur? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Establish time frame in thesis to help reader focus attention on the event </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Reader will understand whether you are relating an event in the recent or distant past </li></ul></ul>
