3. Why not just go to Wikipedia?
• Many Wikipedia pages are fact-checked by
experts
• Many are not fact-checked and can contain
bad information
• Print Encyclopedias are written by and fact-
checked by experts on the topics
4. How to find what you need
• Step 1: Go to the index (usually the last book in
the set)
• Step 2: Find the topic that you are looking for (it
is alphabetical like a dictionary)
• Step 3: Go to the book that the index points you
to
– It will say something like 1:32 that would be book 1,
page 32
– It could also say A: 32 which would be book A page 32
