  • 2. Who is in charge here?
    Mrs. Lennox teaches English, Socials, and French
    Mrs. Stewart teaches Math and Science
    Mrs. Lennox is obsessed with Twilight (especially Edward!)
    Mrs. Stewart is a horrible artist and very short
    We both have brutal handwriting, so good luck with that
    Don’t worry your kids are actually in good hands;
    We are strict
    We are fair
    We have high expectations
    We love our jobs
    We love to have fun

    How will we help yourkids have a successful year?
    • We promote RESPECT
    • 4. We have fair and consistent rules that we enforce (with a heavy dose of sarcasm and humor)
    • 5. We have high expectations
    • 6. We have many organizational systems in place to help students stay on top of the work load, and any information they may need. For example: homework boards, info. boards, teacher blog, website, week at a glance sheets, traditional agendas, missed work boxes, etc.
    • 7. We try to build a classroom environment that enables students to work as part of a team and support one another

    • Come to school regularly
    • 8. Stay ORGANIZED!
    • 9. Come to class PREPARED with the right supplies!

    • 11. If you are absent, find out what you missed

    What can you do to help your kids be successful?
    • Communicate with us by phone, email, or in person
    • 13. Follow the blog and check the website for general information and homework updates
    • 14. Watch for interim reports
    • 15. Come to parent teacher interviews or check in with us at some other time regarding your child’s progress
    • 16. Encourage your child to spend some time each night on school work
    • 17. Provide a quiet, organized space for your child to work at home
    • 18. Help your child stay organized- a weekly binder check is useful!
    • 19. Make sure your child has the supplies they need
    • 20. Encourage your child to use an agenda of some sort (JMS agenda, igoogle page, or a day planner)
  • Field trips and fund-raising
