  • 90% INTELLIGENT WASH 87% NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE CONSUMER INSIGHT* The attractiveness of 11 proposed user benefits CARE WASH 79% WEIGHT SENSOR * Research done by Holden Pearmain in October 2009. A total of 1,800 people were interviewed, 300 in each country (Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic). The results are based on the median (similar to average) perception. < BACK TO AGENDA 4
  • The consumer‟s perception of the ideal cycle duration is very far from what he will get in practice. So quick I would doubt the effectiveness of the wash Ideal wash cycle Long, but just about acceptable Average load 29 min 59 min 89 min Full, dirty load 41 min 75 min 113 min Small, slightly soiled load 20 min 43 min NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE CONSUMER INSIGHT The ideal cycle duration in the eyes of the consumer 60 min * Research done by Holden Pearmain in October 2009. A total of 1,800 people were interviewed, 300 in each country (Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic). The results are based on the median (similar to average) perception. < BACK TO AGENDA 5
  • By comparing the first time reduction, “Daily” (shortened washing phase, full rinsing), we see how closely we match what consumers would be satisfied And our washing machines are a lot closer to this ideal than just about any washing machine you will find We have more than 50 years of expertise in manufacturing front loaded washing machines LONG, BUT JUST ABOUT ACCEPTABLE OPTISENSE, 40 °C “DAILY” Average load 89 min 94 min/4 kg Full, dirty load 113 min 115 min/7 kg Small, slightly soiled load 60 min NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE NEW LOGICONTROL USER INTERFACES With just one step of Time Save – giving the consumers the washing times they want 60 min/2 kg AND WITH “EXTRA QUICK” (PRESS TIME SAVE TWICE): A small, slightly soiled load will take only 45 min, just 2 min more than the “Ideal wash cycle” < BACK TO AGENDA 6
  • NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX DESIGN CONSISTENCY IN DESIGN A TRULY PREMIUM FINISH Perfect matching between the washing machines and dryers, important whether they be placed side-by-side or stacked on top of each other. With a unique brushed stainless steel control panel with anti-fingerprint finish. < BACK TO AGENDA 7
  • NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX DESIGN ADVANCED USER INTERFACE NEW XXL DOORS NEW CABINET Hi-fi programme selector and new large red-on-black LCDs. With „double glass‟ and optional silver finish. With horizontal side panel profiles (good against noise and resonances too). < BACK TO AGENDA 8
  • PROTEX WASHING MACHINE
  • PROTEX WASHING MACHINE Gentle and precise treatment of any load. NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE THE USP Keeps your wardrobe looking like new for longer. < BACK TO AGENDA 10
  • The Optisense washing system – adjust duration and washing efficiency whatever the load size or type DURATION [min] WASHING EFFICIENCY 160 140 120 Overwashing 100 NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX USP OptiSense 80 A 60 40 20 0 8 kg 6 kg Normal Washing machine 4 kg 2 kg OptiSense The cycle time, as well as the water and energy consumption, is automatically adjusted to precisely treat each load differently; small loads are not „overwashed‟. 8 kg 6 kg Normal Washing machine 4 kg 2 kg OptiSense In fact, any size of load is washed to a perfect A-class, no more, no less. ProTex means outstanding clothes care that will keep your wardrobe looking like new for longer. < BACK TO AGENDA 11
  • PROTEX DRUM The special patterned drum in our new front loader generation is designed to gently wash up to a full 9 kg load. The combination of small holes and a large total perforated area ensures exceptional gentleness. NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX USP ProTex drum < BACK TO AGENDA 12
  • ADVANCED WASHING TECHNOLOGY (AWT) A unique shower system that quickly wets the clothes and prevents bleach stains that could occur from over-concentration of detergent at the start of the washing. The continuous shower guarantees that the water is sprayed right into the heart of the wash, so that even a full load is washed and rinsed evenly and efficiently. NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX USP Advanced Washing Technology < BACK TO AGENDA 13
  • 40% Less energy consumption WEIGHT SENSOR NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE SECONDARY BENEFITS Front loaders 40% better energy efficiency than limit of A-class Our weight sensor gives a very good and highly accurate Superior results owing to the use of the AWT shower, indication of the cycle duration, even while you are loading inverter motor and high precision flow meter. the machine. Washing machines with time proportionality will otherwise need up to 15 min. to estimate the load and calculate the corresponding duration, meanwhile showing maximum duration. < BACK TO AGENDA 14
  • NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE SECONDARY BENEFITS Front loaders SPECIAL STEAM PROGRAMMES SILENT SYSTEM PLUS LOGICONTROL USER INTERFACE There are two Steam programmes, Anti-crease to minimize ironing and Refresh. As a further refinement, in the 9-series the amount of steam may be adjusted in three steps according to the load. Has now been taken to a completely new level through the introduction of a totally new, XXL washing group and the use of three new, advanced shock absorbers. There are also many other refinements to help us reach the record low 47 dB(A). This intuitive concept is literally selfexplanatory. An empty bar graph shows that the option is available. A bar graph that is not (yet) full encourages the user to explore the remaining possibilities. Up to 5 extra rinses. 9-series with text line and 24 h clock. < BACK TO AGENDA 15

  • PROTEX DRYER
  • PROTEX DRYER Gentle and more uniform drying whatever the load size or type. NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE THE USP Outstanding clothes care to keep your wardrobe looking like new for longer. < BACK TO AGENDA 22
  • PROTEX DRUM The key to the ProTex concept in our dryers lies in our new XXL soft pattern drum in combination with the efficient air flow circuit, drum reversing and three rather than the more common two lifters. The volume, at 118 litres, combined with the lift of the more efficient air flow, means that a given load will be able to stretch out that much more, reducing creasing and also giving a more uniform drying result. NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX USP ProTex drum < BACK TO AGENDA 23
  • HEAT PUMP TECHNOLOGY Lower drying temperature and shorter programs gives the most gentler drying. NEUE KOLLEKTION THE LAUNDRY RANGE PROTEX USP Heat Pump technology < BACK TO AGENDA 24
  • 50% Less energy consumption SILENT SYSTEM PLUS All dryers, even the standard ones, have sound insulation mats inside the side panels and under the worktop as well as a base cover. Additional special measures to reduce the fan noise in the top traditional models.
