7. SMSP Day Preparations
• Begin thinking about projects, they should be:
– Hands on
– Open to all ages
– Easy, yet meaningful
• Consider local sponsorship
– Packages will be available to help you find local
sponsors
• Identify a coordinator
– There will be a lot of information and coordination
required. Name someone to take the lead

8. SAVE
• Support
– Great opportunity to garner or galvanize community
support for your site
• Advocate
– This year’s focus will be on helping guests appreciate the
importance of your site and your chapter
– Invite state and local representatives
• Volunteer
– Keep track of hours and spread the word about
opportunities for the rest of the year
• Explore
– Encourage guests to come back for more!
