Disruptive Innovation And The Bankruptcy Of PolaroidGreat treatment of the topic. The auto industry in America has listened to shareholders and customers over the last few years, resulting in the continued manufactuer of large cars and trucks, and no eye toward fuel efficiency or alternate fuels. We now see them asking the government for a second round of billions in loans to perpetuate the same failing business model. I hope the big three can work through this, because, unlike Polaroid, the US economy cannot afford to have them fail.2 years ago

Disruptive Innovation And The Bankruptcy Of PolaroidThank you for an excellent, real world example of the importance of disruptive innovation. I can’t help but feel that we are witnessing the same kind of implosion in the American Auto market.2 years ago

"How to" : Visual Effects in PowerPoint 2003Great presentation, but I’m confused. I am very familiar with PPT. 2003 and 2007. The some of the effects you are using (reflection, glass shine) are not available in 2003. They come with the 2007 version. So, I’m assuming this was mistakenly titled. Still, very helpful.2 years ago

Search Strategies some of the slides did not convert exactly as they were laid out in PPT. A frequent occurrence with Slideshare. In some cases, you have to do some redesign so that slides will appear as you intend them.3 years ago

The Art of the StartThe entire Art of the Start series is very well designed. The use of a design theme is an underused philosophy.3 years ago

How to get your slides noticedIt would be an easier task in the training room. You simply use the example slide as your background and do a nice trasparent banner with "find the slide you like"...advance to next slide "try and reproduce it"...then transition to "what you cannot..."
However, in this forum, what you have done works.4 years ago

Balance Hearts And MindsThis is a very good slide. Good, clear images with a clear point. One suggestion..for symmetry’s sake: Use use rectangle objects of equal dimensions instead of merely formatting the text box. Of course, the need for symmettry is subjective.4 years ago

How to get your slides noticedTry using the Flickr creative commons. I’ve found it to be the most useful place to get hi-res images for free. and since it is a social site, you will find amazing pictures of nearly anything you could imagine.
Also, check out a blog called "Presentation Zen" by Garr Reynolds. Extremely valuable stuff.4 years ago

How to get your slides noticedToo much on a slide...break this into three slides. Use the example slide as your background. It loses impact because it is crowded. 4 years ago
