Step 1 – Finding leaders <ul><li>Students will nominate themselves as leaders of </li></ul><ul><li>Political Parties </li></ul><ul><li>Pressure Groups </li></ul><ul><li>Media Groups </li></ul><ul><li>Election Scrutinisers (Peace Keepers) </li></ul><ul><li>Each nomination will need 4 supporters. </li></ul>

Step 2 – Finding a job <ul><li>Political Parties </li></ul><ul><li>Pressure groups </li></ul><ul><li>Media Groups </li></ul><ul><li>Scrutinisers.. </li></ul><ul><li>… will advertise jobs within their organisation. </li></ul><ul><li>All students will complete an application form for a job and be interviewed by the leaders. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Step 3 - Orientation <ul><li>Once you are appointed to your new job you will have time to get to know your team and consider your attitude to the key issues. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Step 4 – Preparing for the campaign <ul><li>Political Parties: Your team will prepare a manifesto and election materials </li></ul><ul><li>Pressure Groups: Your teams will prepare your own manifesto and information </li></ul><ul><li>Media Groups: organise interviews, schedule press conferences, research the issues, prepare your questions and interviews. </li></ul><ul><li>Scrutinisers: Create and publish a reward and sanction system. Introduce yourselves to everyone! </li></ul>

Step 5 -The Campaign Weeks <ul><li>4x75 minute lessons </li></ul><ul><li>5 minutes : You will be given an issue to respond to. </li></ul><ul><li>20 minutes : to prepare a Press Conference </li></ul><ul><li>10 minute : Press Conference speeches and interviews </li></ul><ul><li>20 minutes : report, blog and produce statements </li></ul><ul><li>10 minutes : read responses and take poll </li></ul><ul><li>10 minute : review our performance </li></ul>
