Damai STARS Programme <ul><li>The programme serves 2 main purposes: </li></ul><ul><li>1) reduce attrition by developing students’ sense of self and character, and rekindling </li></ul><ul><li>their interest in learning. </li></ul><ul><li>2) equip students who regularly display delinquent behaviour with social and emotional skills to help them manage their behaviour within and without the classroom environment. </li></ul>

Lack of motivation as shown through: </li></ul><ul><li>Poor academic results at previous semestral examination – </li></ul><ul><li>i) Overall percentage less than 45.0%; and </li></ul><ul><li>ii) 2 or fewer subjects passed </li></ul><ul><li>C. Lack of motivation as shown through: </li></ul><ul><li>i)Conduct grade of ‘Fair’ or less </li></ul><ul><li>D. Recalcitrant disciplinary issues as shown through: </li></ul><ul><li>i) Any two of A, B, C or D </li></ul><ul><li>ii) More than 3 discipline cases / referrals from teachers in </li></ul><ul><li>last semester </li></ul>
