Water
By: Alex Beasley and Miles Mitchell
How much space does water take up?
78% of Earth.
Waves and Tides
Caused by the moons gravity
Water Cycle
The process of rain and evaporation.
Ocean subsurface
The underwater landforms are filled with mountains and hills.
The Water Cycle
Evaporation
When the sun brings water into the clouds.
Precipitation
The evaporated rain falls from the clouds.
Repeat
The cycle is completed and done again.
Ocean Topography
The ocean landforms and features.
Important Landforms
The volcanoes and mountains under water.
Underwater Icebergs
The huge underwater icebergs are not always frozen water, but they can also be long frozen strip...
Underwater Mountains
They all used to be volcanoes at one point in time.
Currents and Tides.
The direction that water travels and what creates the waves.
Rip Tides
Rip tides are like a world pool and the suck a lot of sandbars in.
Tides
Tides are caused by the moons gravity pulling the water up and then comes a tide.
Currents
The Ocean Current is a powerful force that lets fish travel through the ocean.
Human Effect
Humans cause very bad pollution of the ocean, like oil.
Another Cause on water
We are killing fish by damaging the food chain.
