FATA Conflict Victims

  1. 1. FATA Conflict Victims ( Way Forward ) Conflict victims are women, youth and children besides men. In one week, around 450,000 victims have shifted to Bannu and other cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Government, political parties, civil society and international organizations have chalk out an integrated support program for the IDPs. Pakistan Army has set up 3 camps but people prefer to live with their relatives and in rented houses. Chairman PTI, Imran Khan has demanded Rs.6 billion for relief and rehabilitation of victims. Government and media know that the life of every human is significant besides economy. Crime rate in North Waziristan was low in 2013. Military operation was hastily conceived. Blame shifting and point scoring serve nothing. Bahria Town is a role model. Students of Peshawar University and Islamia College must come forward as volunteers. For decent lifestyle at par with international standards, IRD and UNDP must establish UN Cities throughout the FATA.
