Don’t spend the day inside in front of a TV, computer or video game screen. Limit your screen time to no more than two hours a day. Then go outside and play, either by yourself or with friends. Here are some ideas: When it’s just you: go on a bike ride, rollerblade, skateboard, jump rope, hit a tennis ball against a flat wall, shoot hoops, play hopscotch, dance or jog. With friends: play ping pong, badminton or tennis; make up a dance or your own cheerleading moves; stage a track meet with running, skipping and other fun races; go on a bike ride; play tag or hide and seek; go hiking; swim; have a water balloon toss; wash your family’s car.
