scaffolding qualities • emergent cultural and social practices come together in response, not just to the weather, and the British fascination with it, but to the possibilities newly inherent in the technological scaffolding of the mobile internet and the potential of microblogging. • temporary – a quick script that presents itself in response to snow, and is simply forgotten and discarded once it has melted. • supremely ﬂexible array of potential implementations for both the technologies involved and the cultural obsessions they directly cater to.

implications: Bergson • Time : a fourth dimension through which spatially deﬁned objects move? • For Bergson such a division is purely for intellectual study of the past. Time and Space are not divisible for Bergson in the ever-unfolding present. • Consciousness sits at the crest of that unfolding and reality unfolds before it, becoming dead, ﬁxed matter as it passes. Consciousness is here at the pinnacle and core of the Real – conceived as duration – durée reélle - rather than as static existence.

implications: Foucault • Foucault’s seemingly disparate world of discursive practices and shifting epistemes • Now seen as precisely that which continually unfolds at the crest of Bergson’s present, but given weight, materiality, as well as discourse • Now united and interrelated in the manner of Latour’s seamless web - the network of relations that links everything together in the end.
