    • Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising wildlife is being destroyed
    • Humans have caused most of the past century's warming
    • Releasing heat-trapping gases as we live our daily life's
    • It is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate to long-term weather patterns

    • Warming that happens when certain gases in Earth's atmosphere trap heat
    • Gases let in light but keep heat from escaping
    • Swedish chemist Svante Arrhenius discovered that humans could increase the greenhouse effect by making carbon dioxide

    • Changing the climate faster than some living things may be able to adapt
