  3. 3.  - Demeaning Implications (Negative Intent)  - Subtle Insult or Action  - Directed towards – Minorities, gender, sexual orientation, and ability status. 
  4. 4.  - Social Identifying started to occur.  - Traced as far back as the 1600’s.  (European Settlers – Native American Indians). (i.e. – savages, etc.)  - Slavery (Height of Aggression!)
  5. 5.  - Harro’s theory on “ Cycle of Socialization”  - Bailey’s theory on “ Race Identity”  - Cass’s Model on “ Homosexuality Identity”  - Opinions can be formed from these theories.
  6. 6.  Verbal - You are so articulate… - You really speak good English… - You are a credit to your race… - Non-verbal - Being followed in a store…
  7. 7.  Educate yourself and others.  Raise Awareness  Take a Stand  DO NOT PROMOTE STATUS QUO!
